The HTML Editor
An editor has been integrated into BACKCLICK, for the design of HTML newsletters. This editor is a WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get). No additional client software is necessary for its use. The editor is 100% based on JavaScript. PLEASE NOTE: When HTML newsletters are processed, not all of the functions of professional HTML-editor client software are available. For a large part of the requirements for writing newsletters, however, the integrated editor is completely adequate. The HTML editor can be activated on request for all users, or only for certain users. If you activate/deactivate the editor for the whole system, the settings in the System Administration -> Basic Settings need to be changed. The user-specific activation is carried out by editing the user profile, using the Users Administration -> User Overview.
The editor offers the following possibilities as to format:
- Formatting text as large, underlined, or italic
- Changing typeface, type size, type style (style sheet), and the type color
- Order of text: left, right, and centered
- Formatting indentations
- Changing the background color and background picture
- Creating numbered and bullet lists
- Creating, formatting, and changing tables (rows/columns insert/erase, divide and insert cells)
- Creating horizontal lines (HR)
- Creating, inserting, changing, and erasing pictures with preview
- Creating, inserting, changing, and erasing hyperlinks
- Switchover from HTML Code to WYSIWYG View
- Context Menu (right mouse button)
- Backwards and Repeat function (1 Step)
- Integrated management of HTML samples
- Defining properties of documents
